- User: Your group’s staff accessing Back Office to manage your gaming business are users of the Back Office. Each staff member will access their merchant BO via their own user accounts.
- Role: a role indicates an user’s position in your group. For example: Group Admin, Marketing Manager, etc.
- Permission: a role is accompanied by a set of permissions in different resources. Permissions regulate operations of a user in a resource.
Categorizing Role
The role assigned to a staff member enables them to access specific functions in Naga Games Back Office.
Roles can be categorized:
- Based on validity:
- ALL_GROUP: valid in all groups. This role can be assigned to users of any group.
- CUSTOMROLE: valid in only 1 group. This role can be assigned to users of 1 particular group.
**- Based on authority:_** - SYSTEM: This role is created to manage all groups in the system. System role is of role level 11-20.
- GROUP: This role can only manage 1 particular group. Group roles can be of role level 1-10.
Role Level is introduced to rank users. Users of higher role level will have control over users of lower role level.
The Role - Permission - User Workflow
Each staff member will be working under 1 group and 1/multiple brands. They must be assigned a role before they can operate in the BO. Their authority is restricted to certain sections, subject to the role that you have assigned to them. For example, a Finance staff member is only allowed to work under sections directly relating to finance such as Reports.
While there are roles predefined by System Admin, you can also create a new role (custom role) to serve your own group. All of these roles can be viewed and created in Authentication > Role.
Once a role is defined, permission of that role will be automatically generated and displayed in Authentication > Permission. As for custom roles that are under your management, you can manually set permissions for them in Authentication > Permission.
Now when roles and permissions are all set, you are able to create user accounts and assign them specific roles to work for your group via Authentication > User.
